¡Hola a todos!
Estoy trabajando en un artículo para publicar. Es de Argentina y se publicará en un journal. Menciona el concepto de "catarsis positiva", y por el contexto parece referirse a la evacuación de materia fecal (¡lindo tema!).
"Los pacientes en el grupo A tuvieron catarsis + en forma mas temprana que los controles."
Por lo que veo en artículos del tema, rara vez aparece como "catharsis" en este sentido. Veo más frecuente "passage of stool", por ejemplo. ¿Qué les sugiere su experiencia? Y me interesa particularmente su collocation... o sea, esto de "tener catarsis positiva", porque con "passage of stool" no encuentro muchos ejemplos con un verbo que se preste para este uso.

Asker: I believe that the adjective 'positive' comes from what you'd normally find in a 'bowel chart'. It would be something like: "Catarsis: positiva" meaning that there has actually been 'passage of stool'

Asker: I agree that 'catharsis' does have this meaning, but in all of the articles I've read in English, it was never used! Most of the sources that used it were translations from Spanish to English... and that makes me suspicious!
