DescriptionThe Argentine Association of Translators and Interpreters [Asociacin Argentina de Traductores e Intrpretes], AATI, was founded in 1982. It wishes to:


Represent and protect the interests of literary and technical-scientific translators and interpreters.


Promote professional improvement.


Encourage collaboration and exchange of knowledge and professional experience as well as establish relationships among AATI's members and other associations, educational institutions and organizations.


Contribute to spreading translation and interpretation activities.

Request for approval will be sent to Board.

Requirements:

--Have a translation or intepreting degree, or
--Make an official request to Board and prove one has been wroking as an interpreter/translator for a given amount of time. You will need letters of recommendation, invices, etc.

Artculo 5 - Se establecen las siguientes categoras de asociados:

a) Activos: Se incluyen en la categora de Miembros Activos las personas capaces que posean ttulo habilitante de traductor literario, tcnico-cientfico, o de intrprete. La admisin como Miembro Activo de AATI estar sujeta a la aceptacin de la Comisin Directiva.

b) Adherentes: a esta categora pertenecen las personas que no estn en condiciones de ser aceptadas como Miembros Activos, pero que por sus antecedentes puedan probar que ejercen o han ejercido la profesin de traductor o intrprete, segn las condiciones estipuladas por el Reglamento Interno. La admisin como Miembro Adherente de AATI estar sujeta a la aceptacin de la Comisin Directiva.

c) Honorarios: Los traductores o intrpretes que, en atencin a los servicios prestados a la Asociacin o en virtud de determinadas condiciones personales, sean designados por la Asamblea a propuesta de la Comisin Directiva o a peticin de los asociados por intermedio de la Comisin Directiva.

d) Vitalicios: Los Miembros Activos que alcancen una antigedad ininterrumpida de 25 aos en la Asociacin.
