I've always been a passionate person for
languages. I had the opportunity to live in Ireland for 2 years and have also
spent long periods of holidays in Brazil. The first time I could do some
serious translation work was during my period in HP Spain. I worked there for 7
years where I dealt with foreign clients and helped the company translate
texts, mails and documentation mainly for Mainframe Host environment. Since
this field of translation was not the most exciting to lay your hands on, I
started to help musicians and guitar teachers by translating music theory books
for them. I also have worked in several hotels where I translated menus,
documents and signs. I'm currently working for the Bank
Ibercaja in Spain where I don't use languages at work, that's why I have
decided to work as a home-based translator. I consider myself a very eager person in
whatever I do and I like to dabble in many different areas reaching a very decent
level. Guitar and music, photography, tourism, languages and fitness are some of my
passions. I am a very thorough translator and like
to pay attention to the nuances and cultural references in every language. |
