Experience
Years of experience: 18. Registered at ProZ.com: Oct 2007.
My name is Luca Mastrorocco.
I have lived in the last 4 years in Japan, Tokyo, where I mastered in the Japanese language.
I have studied in a Japanese Language School "Tokyo International Language School Naganuma", where I degreed to advaced level.
I also reached in the 2006, the prestigious "Japanese Language Proficiency Test" 1st level, that attests the knowledge of about 10.000 words and 2.000 kanjis.
In these years I also attended a Vocation School in the Media & Music field, "Tokyo Music & Media Arts Shobi".I degreed in Digital Music composition.I studied about computer, hardwares and softwares.
Also from the beginning of the 2006, I started to translate Mangas(comics) from Japanese into Italian.
At the beginning of this summer 2007, I moved to England, London, where I found a work as a Translator, in a famous Telephony company here.
My work duties involved translation from Japanese into English of technical documents and manuals, and also support of the engeneer team.
From these kind of experiences I could learn in the deepest way all these languages use and way of translation from one into the other.
I also think that to be a good traslator, You do not need a good software or a good knowledge of that particular language, but a deep and articulate knowledge of that language's culture and people, something that I could develop in my past experiences.
Regarding Italian,of course I am a native speaker, but this not always mean good knowledge of the language, but to prove my particular knowledge of it and the ability to relate a foreign languages to it, I have been teaching Italian for more than 4 years, before in Japan and now in England.
I am complitely confident about the use of the above languages.
