Hello,
Looking to establish a long-term agreement (3+ months) with an English to French (Quebec) translator and reviser. Most days you would receive 7 hours of work, Monday to Friday.
The key is producing a French translation that sounds natural in Quebec French and that follows OQLF guidelines.
The nature of the work would be finance and HR documentation and employee training materials.
Please include your CV, highlighting any experience you have translating financial or HR texts into French. Highlight also your degree of experience with Quebec French.
Also, could you briefly answer, in 2 to 3 sentences, what you would consider the most important elements in a good translation?
Also, what is your experience with CAT tools?
- In particular, are you at all familiar with MemoQ?
- What about your degree of knowledge of html (some of the documents to translate will be based in Dreamweaver html)?
Finally, what volume of words are you comfortable translating or revising on an hourly/daily basis?
The successful candidate will:
- be a native French speaker
- be available 7 hours per weekday until at least April
- offer a competitive hourly rate for a long-term collaboration
