Very nice and charming presentationsJan 29, 2011

I would like one of my questions to be answered - is there an option to indicate that one is a FULL-TIME, freelance translator, which would mean full-time dedication and do translators by doing so have any kind of benefits unlike those who work in translation only part-time. The interests of these two groups are quite different, I especially have in mind the rates. Proz might do something in that direction. Also, clients may prefer to search for a translator that works full-time as a translator.... See more

Are niche markets also searched?Jan 30, 2011

Segmentation of translator groups can be endless. I feel that now translation job specialization/customization is highly demanded. Full-time/part-time translators can be expected but job output and job quality can take priority. It has been surprising that many full-time translators during economic depression days were novice with entry to our job markets since they became jobless, not because of their linguistic talent at all.
