just now, as well: The old I-need-your-interpreting-services-for three-days-while-on-business-in-Xcountry. Yawn. And I'm not even an interpreter. Sent the spam report immediately to Proz. This is really getting out of hand, lately. I wish ProZ could introduce some kind of control to stop it, at least from letting non-registered, non-logged-in users send e-mails through the website. See more Hello all, Remember you can report any abuse or email spam/scams/phishing through your ProZ.com mail service via the support system. Just remember to add a copy of the message received, including headers, to help support staff handle the problem more efficiently. Or else, if you are receiving these messages in the form of a profile message, simply click on the link next to the "Unsolicited advertising? Spam? click here" line at the bottom of the email you receive in your email inbox. And, if you receive them as an instant message, simply click on the "Report Spam" button at the bottom of the message. In both cases a support request will be automatically generated, containing all the necessary information ProZ.com support staff needs to take appropriate action. Then, also remember that you can set your profile message preferences here. So, if you do not want to receive profile messages from non-logged-in site visitors, just select the "Allow only ProZ.com users who are logged in to send me messages via my profile" option and click on "Update" at the bottom of the page to save your preferences. Hope this helps. Kind regards, Lucia ▲ Collapse | | | Woodstock (X) Germany Local time: 07:07 German to English + ...

Thanks for that information, Lucia. Either I wasn't aware of it or had forgotten about it. Either way, I immediately changed my settings to the option not permitting non-logged in ProZ users to contact me. That should take care of the problem nicely. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Scam received over Proz with non-existing Proz profile Trados Studio 2022 Freelance | The leading translation software used by over 270,000 translators.
