forklift truck engine air filter
From the maintenance section of a user manual for a telehandler, in the instructions for inspecting and replacing the two-piece air filter:
"-Extraer el tirador amarillo para desbloquear la tapadera lateral y girarla en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj.
-Quitar el elemento primario e inspeccionarlo con atención si por acaso está dañado.
-Limpiar por completo el interior del cartucho y la *válvula evacuadora*.
What would the correct name for this part be in English? Evacuator valve?
Thanks in advance.

Assuming, of course, that you can substitute "purga" for "evacuación" (that is, substitute "válvula de purga" or "de purgado" for "evacuación".
(Though, of course, dealing with patents is, er, complicated...)

Hi! I've googled a little & found the following link (reliable one):
http://www.deere.com/en_US/cfd/construction/deere_const/medi...
Where I find this description:
Dual safety element dry-type air cleaner, ____evacuator valve___
It is very similar to your text...
Have a look!

Note from asker:
Thanks for the useful link, Silvia. In the end I did use 'evacuator valve' as you also suggest, but I think I've got to give the points to David for his quick answer. Thanks again. |
