Spanish to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s) Tender
I am translating a tender document for a US client.
I have worked in construction and we always used tender and tenderer - but I would like clarification that this is the best term for a US market.
Alternatively, tender/bid and bidder?

Thanks

Suerte.

Perhaps I should have put this in the forums - but I wasn't sure where
I don't actually need a translation I wanted to know whether one term was more popular over another in construction industry. But I like your idea AllegroTrans - thanks. For the record here an example in a sentence.

Alternatively You could post this as an English-to-English term and ask US-English speakers to give you suggestions - but if you do this you need to give the UK version of your text
AllegroTrans Aug 18, 2011:
Context We need to see your text containing the term please (at least 1 complete sentence).
Translating a word "in isolation" is easily done with a dictionary, but if you want professional suggestions to fit your individual document then you need to provide both TEXT and CONTEXT.

CONTEXT Nor would I.

Without some context I would not venture a opinion.

bidders

From my contract experience in the Americas this is the usual term.
Example sentence:

The bidders should submit their bids within 30 days.
