Medical Report for patient with septic shock
The following appears in a discharge summary for a patient (wearer of pacemaker) with septic shock, in Spain:
"Ingresa en [redacted] el día [redacted] por malestar general y fiebre de 38oC. Manejo en REA".
This is followed by a list of complaints (including shock, kidney failure and heart failure) and examinations (X-ray/CT of chest).
Any ideas what "REA" indicates here?
Thanks.

It's not clear whether your patient has actually had an operation. If so, this is usually referred to as the recovery unit or recovery room.
After surgery, you'll be moved back to the ward (after local anaesthetic) or a recovery room (after general anaesthetic or an epidural), where you'll be told how the operation went.

If they didn't have an operation then I would go for Resuscitation Unit.
A new 10-bed resuscitation unit for seriously ill patients has been opened at Northampton General Hospital.
