(2) The effect of a Notice of Discontinuance will be to determine this Guarantee with effect from close of business on the date stated in such notice or so determined by the Bank as a continuing security and to crystallise the amount of the liability under this Guarantee with effect from such close of business, except however as mentioned in Clauses 2(3) and 2(4) above.
(3) If any Notice of Discontinuance shall be given by one or some of Joint Guarantors, this Guarantee shall be determined as a continuing security and crystallise the liabilities of that one or those of the Joint Guarantors giving the Notice of Discontinuance, but it shall continue as a continuing security to the Bank as regards that one or those of the Joint Guarantors who did not give such notice until such later time (if at all) as this Guarantee may be determined as a continuing security as regards such one or more Joint Guarantors by notice given by him or them in accordance with this Clause or by a demand made on him or them by the Bank hereunder.
