According to Shabdkosh.com, both पक्ष & पक्षकार are 'party'. But if we think elaborately about this, we can see that पक्ष is party and पक्षकार is the human being who belongs that party.
For example: A,B,C are parties i.e. पक्ष. Now D comes and take the side of B party and becomes the पक्षकार of B.
