Italian term

alberi-ingranaggi

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general)
I realize this could literally be "gearshaft", "gear shaft", or "gear-shaft" (which one, by the way, if that is the case?)

Hard to believe I cannot find this combination of "albero/i" and "ingranaggio/i" in Proz or elsewhere.

This is from a list of Purchases in the P&L of a company that makes incremental and absolute encoders, sensors, and linear transducers.

On their website, the term "shaft" appears only under some product descriptions, e.g.:

"designed to support high radial and axial shaft load"
"absence of physical contact between encoder and motor shaft"
"xx (mm) encoder series with through hollow shaft used on motors"

I am sure some of my engineering translator colleagues will know this right off the bat! Thanks!

shafts - gears

I would simply read this as "shafts (and) gears" as a generic grouping of items to be read by the shareholders and the normal people who read accounts, not as a detailed technical specification.
