I have seen this term translated as meteoric agents, but only in the English versions of Italian websites. can anyone confirm and give me an exact definition.
The phrase relates to the protection of a weather station component from "the elements" basically.

I think you gave yourself the answer... Many (though not all) of the pages that use "weather agents" have to do with people or instruments that report on meteorological events *see links), so the term is not clear. Using "the elements", however, would be.
