Italian term

l'omologazione della convenzione completa

Italian to English Law/Patents Law (general)
whole sentence is "le parti richiedono scioglimento del matrimonio per divorzio e l'omologazione della convenzione completa selle relative conseguenze accessorie"

Discussion

Ellen Kraus Mar 3, 2010:
the parties to the divorce evidently have come to terms on a number of issues. They now want to see them officially (approved and) confirmed in writing. in particular as to the "le conseguenze accessorie" which are the legal consequences of a divorce.
Natmarmayn (X) Mar 3, 2010:
I don't believe that the term "convention" applies here as this is a divorce matter.

ratification of the entire agreement

interesting one! I'm not entirely positive so await our colleagues thoughts.

Italian term (edited): l\'omologazione della convenzione completa

and the official confirmation of the entire procedure

that´s how I interpret this phrase (translating verbally, i.e. homologation of the complete convention is, however, equally acceptable)
Peer comment(s):

disagree Natmarmayn (X) : To what procedure are you referring? The parties have probably settled some disputed matters and have drawn up an agreement. I can only guess since no other information is provided.

coming to terms necessarily is part of a procedure or, in other terms, of drawing up an agreement.

recording of the consent order (on ancillary matters)

There is a 'guide to uncontested divorce proceedings' with a lot of useful vocabulary (see web ref). If there is full agreement prior to divorce hearing, plaintiffs should file a draft consent order five days before the hearing or if it is a last-minute agreement they can explain the terms orally in court and present a hard copy within 3 days
