Thank you so much, Matsuda-san and Fowler-san. I wish I could choose both of your answers. When forced to make a choice between the two, I had to give the advantage to Matsuda-san since she was the one to post the answer first, but thank you so much to both of you for your helpful answers.

calibrate to zero, set to zero

A slight variation, but when I worked as an In-house Toyota translator, ゼロ合わせ on a machine was more often than not, "calibrate to zero" or just, "calibrate the machine"
