I think this is the name of a road in Nagano-ken. How do you translate it?

The road that runs along Chikuma River

川沿い means '(run) along the river', so 千曲川沿いの道 is not actually the name of a road/street, but it means 'the road that runs along the Chikuma River'.

Below is where I got the kana for 'Chikuma'.

The kana for the whole thing is: ¥"Chikuma gawa zoi no michi¥". 沿い comes from 沿う(so-u). (¥'the road along the Chikuma river¥')
Peer comment(s):

agree Maynard Hogg : Make that "a road" because there are more than one. The "that runs" could go too.
