Norwegian term

trigge

Norwegian to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software Software insurance contract
Context:
Løsningen skal tilpasses deres behov og det er viktig at den trigger og motiverer de som skal bruke løsningen slik at nytteverdien for brukeren blir optimal.

Does this just mean "trigger", i.e. activate, prompt?

trigger

Yup, it does - It's not a natural Norwegian word, just a very unofficial Norwegianisation (norvagisering) of the word trigger.

trigger off/spark off/inspire

A common dilemma for translators.... Should you strive to achieve an equally odd/inferior choice of word/phrase in your translation, or try to find a more understandable/neutral solution? Good luck!
