"The various columns indicate the response code to be used where there is a positive match against the various controls." Tilslag means match, as when a value is checked against a pre-set reference value - Yes/no, equal, less, more, within range. If there is a positive match, you get a 'tilslag'.

The word 'utilised' might be useful for you here as 'tilslag' in this context has the sense of something being struck. There are other options but try tthis if you wish:
"De forskjellige kolonnene viser hvilken responsekode som skal brukes ved tilslag på de forskjellige kontrollene".
'The different columns show which response codes are to be used when one of the various checking items is utilised.'
