Norwegian term

overveltet

Norwegian to English Other Insurance
Underskuddet i tingskade er således ikke overveltet på andre bransjer på en måte som ville være i strid med paragraf 7-5.

passed on

In this context, the term overveltet, which means turned over or handed on, is probably best translated as passed on. The deficit in property damage is thus not passed on in other industries in a way which will be in conflict with paragraph 7-5.

agree KirstyMacC (X) : cf DE überwälzen.

agree Richard Lawson : Except that "på andre bransjer" means here "to ..." and not "in ...". "Paragraf" should be translated as "section". The English term "Paragraph" in legislation is equiv. to the Norw. "ledd".

Just to give you a choice for 'shifted onto' i.e. recoverable from.
