Norwegian term

smöyd (stropp)

Norwegian to English Other Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) knife sheath making
Text about knife-making. This term is a sub-heading in a chapter on "slirestropper" or knife straps. It's a type of hanger (oppheng) to attach to the sheath. I know that "stropp" is "strap", but don't know what the first word means.
