Romanian to English Art/Literary Music Article on famous conductor's work
This is from an article on a famous conductor:

This part of the text is talking about how the conductor believed that the musical score (partitura) was just an analytical tool for the conductor that he believed destroyed the charm of what the music actually contained.

The context reads:

"El urmărea - cum singur spunea - "linia mare" ce conferă vibrație în interpretare."

This seems to be saying that:

"Consequently, as the conductor said himself "*high/big line??" which gave a "Vibration??" to the interpretation."

However, this does not sound very easy to make sense of anyway. I do not know what "high line" is and therefore cannot find the correct musical term to use.

Thank you. Thank you. I used "the whole picture", which is an English idiom, following Ion's suggestion of "the whole". I have no idea who would get the points in this case, so will have to leave it to the community. Thank you for your help.

the whole (great) phrase which gives vibration in interpretation

From the Romanian texts in the field, it seems to be referring to the conductor looking at the score as a whole, but in the same time paying attention to details. "Phrase" seems to be a common term in music, longer or shorter, the presented context shows the conductor looking at the whole picture, phrase of the musical part.
