I was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. Attended San Diego State University, San Diego, California, graduated in Business Finance.
I speak Indonesian and English fluently. and understand both Indonesian and American cultures.
Have been working for the courts in California for the past 20 years, and being a medical interpreter both by phone and face to face.
The following are my experience:
Interpreting in courts in regards to deportation, asylum, traffic tickets, family law, child abuse, workman comp, deposition, hearing, criminal law, family law, simultaneous and consecutive.
Interpreting for school district, conference between parents and teachers, updating students progress, via phone interpreting.
Interpreting counseling between psychologist and patient, consecutive.
Interpreting for hospitals, emergency room, Doctors for physical check up, preparation for surgery, between surgeons and patient explaining the procedures, communication between anaestheologist and patient disclosing the procedure, explaining the risk, health questionnaires and signing the form for consent.
Interpreting for labor department, coaching mothers in delivery room, and later coaching them breast feeding their babies, taking care new born via phone interpreting.
Translating for social workers both in US and Canada, for interview with their clients.
Interpreting for mothers to be who are over 40,informing them in regards to genetic condition such as down syndrome babies and the 3 different tests available.
Escorting High ranking Indonesian military's wife, when visiting the US.
Translating physical therapy between therapist and patient, via phone translating.
Translating for Insurance companies to communicate with Indonesian Hospitals, when Americans have emergency treatment.
Translating birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, high school transcripts from Indonesian to English.
