My name is Arianna Malasoma and I took my first degree in Linguistic Mediation on March 2017 at the University for Foreigners in Siena. At the university I studied German and Russian.

During the summer after my degree I worked as a receptionist in a Hotel in Tuscany, but my interest in translation never faded.

For this reason on November 2017 I started a Master in Specialised Translation and Localization, which I finished in June 2018. During the Master I have learnt how to use the CAT Tool SDL Trados-Studio and I worked on technical translations and commercial texts from English and German into Italian. In the meantime, I started a traineeship in a translation agency settled in Turin, which was specialised in patent translation, after which I worked for the same agency as a term employee. There I learned a lot about patent translation and the different terminology to be used depending on the field of the text.

Since January 2020 I started to work as a freelance patent translator, even if I would like to expand my knowledge in other fields of translation as well.
