A brief self-introduction:

Received bilingual education in school. Have been living in Europe for 7 years. Partner with a hard-core engineer, thus daily exposed to all sorts of technical, mechanical, computer-related nitty gritty (and way too many bad jokes).
BA in Japanese Studies; MA in Art History and Museology.
Interested in lots of things, but primarily tasty things and how to grow them. 
Became a part-time translator in 2019 because I enjoy the flexibility and don't mind irregular hours.
Currently based in Germany, working as a freelancer on different localization projects.

My work ethics:

Translation is a craft.  
Being able to express an idea in sheer precision requires not only good writing skills, but also a deep understanding of the source material, its context, the target reader as well as the objective of translation itself. My academic training in humanities and experience with diverse cultures have equipped me with all the tools necessary to produce a piece of work tailored to client's need.

Rate negotiable for long-term projects with regular assignments.
