我没有翻译这个规则，这个规则不是我翻译的。我家那份是“固定式压力容器安全技术监察规程”，不是这份“压力容器安全技术监察规程”。

然后现在中文句子又落入你手里，让你翻译成英文。呵呵，翻译结果难免与原英文有出入。
所以，我不太认同通过back translation来确定翻译好坏的做法。

我还几天没来，这里又洋洋洒洒好多篇。慢慢读过来，有点脸红了。我不管，您面前，我不怕羞，也不怕出错。
我得赶紧的申诉，我没有翻译那篇压力容器规则，我只负责了固定式的，没有机会搭手其它的。

我相信你的客户对你翻译的国标是满意的，不必多担心。我也知道你翻译那些国标不容易。 但是换了别人来翻，也照样会不容易。你说“如果去了压力容器的专家手里，肯定是很拿得出手的”。 我看未必。你去比较一下某些科技杂志论文的中英文摘要，就知道了。 那可都是教授、研究生写的。我们在日常翻译过程中，也都要查词典、翻书、上网搜索、看参考文献，必要时也会上 KudoZ 去问。 这就是为什么我们一天只能翻译几千字而不是上万字。 水平高的人在这方面化的时间也许会相对少一些，但声称从来不查词典的翻译翻出来的东西，我相信你也已经领教了。

快开门式压力容器应当设置满足下述要求的安全联锁装置：

Tank Blanketing Basics Covered
Tank Blanketing, or padding, refers to applying a cover of gas over the surface of a stores commodity; usually a liquid. Its purpose is either to protect or contain the stored product or prevent it from harming personnel, equipment, or the environment. In most cases the blanketing gas is nitrogen, although other gases may be used.
Blanketing may prevent liquid from vaporizing into the atmosphere. It can maintain the atmosphere above a flammable or combustible liquid to reduce ignition potential. It can make up the volume caused by cooling of the tank contents, preventing vacuum and the ingress of atmospheric air.
Blanketing can simply prevent oxidation or contamination of the product by reducing its exposure to atmospheric air. It can also reduce the moisture content. Gas such as nitrogen is supplied in a very pure and dry state.
The list of products blanketed is extensive ---- everything from adhesives, catalyst, chemicals, fats and oils, foods, fuels, inks, pharmaceuticals, photographic chemicals, soaps, and water.
IMO, in this application the main purpose of the nitrogen blanket is to prevent the hot melted asphalt from splattering. As the text clearly indicates, it is an important safety measure.

用 nitrogen atmosphere 当然也是可以的，但工业上常用 nitrogen blanket，尤其是在防火防爆的场合。Nitrogen atmosphere 主要是指反应环境，多用于实验室。两者的侧重点不大一样。
