Dear Naf-Naf - could you give us the full sentence(s)?
Sladjana Spaic Mar 22, 2008:
authorization to forward its authorization to a third person. In some cases it's allowed and in some cases not. However, that's not known from the context.
Sladjana Spaic Mar 22, 2008:
Also, the representative is the one who has got the authorization, i.e. is authorized to act on behalf of the family. So I guess, he the one who is the recepient of power of authority. It can not be really said whether the representative has further
Sladjana Spaic Mar 22, 2008:
Well, I wouldn't say it's the repersentative in this case, because he is the one who represents, i.e. acts on behalf of the family regarding inheritance. "Representative- zastupnik" was one of other already given questions here.
Christo Metschkaroff Mar 22, 2008:
I'm checking the term in different languages, and found out that this should be "representative" (legal term) - who empowers smbd. I do hope it helps!
Sladjana Spaic Mar 22, 2008:

donor

If this is to do with probate, then power of attorney is probably correct but I think here that donor should suffice on its own.

This would be the UK term (England and Wales only).

Sorry, I didn't see your note in full above about donor. I agree that these would be the most common contexts but it also has a specific meaning in law.
