Description Scuola Superiore di Lingue Moderne per Interpreti e Traduttori (Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators) was founded in 1978 as an independent Modern Languages faculty for translation and interpreting studies. SSLMIT provides both 1st level (3 years) and 2nd level (5 years) degrees and is active in research activities carried out within the Department of Linguistics, Interpreting and Translation Studies. The objective of the Scuola Superiore di Lingue Moderne per Interpreti e Traduttori, a University Faculty (university oriented school) since 1978 (D.P.R. 6 March 1978 no. 102), is to prepare students, scientifically and technically, for professional practice in the translating and interpreting fields.
