IN effetti il verbo to trend risulta intransitivo per cui la costruzione con la forma passiva sembra incosueta. Tenuto conto comunque che tra i vari significati esiste anche quello di "dirigere" opterei per renderlo in italiano con "essere diretti/azionarsi".
