It provides joint flex control during walking
I don't know which joints are being referred to but I think one has to be generic, after all, there are MANY joints involved in walking: hip, ankle, toes....
The text I think is referring to the fact that all these can be "controlled"

Elizabeth,
I am just letting you know that in this case, we just don\'t say articulation....it just isn\'t used in this context. flexion control of the articulation would mean joint.....

torsion du talon....
Positions the heel properly
OR
Keeps the heel in place

It makes it possible to control (possibly: limit?) flexing at the joint
(or: of the joint) during walking / when walking
I think the 'a' must be a typo for à, n'est-ce pas?

Thanks, Jane ! I reckon it must be the ankle or toe joints at most

it allows forward flexing at the ankle during walking
I agree with Dusty on the typo and think articulation relates to ankle

Je préfère "articulation" au lieu de "joint"
et aussi la tenue en torsion du talon : as well as torsion resistance of the heel

Always surprises me to get this kind of remark. You are so adamant. This is only yr opinion, look at the above from Eurodicautom. The dutch was for checking. I still maintain my suggestion.
