: This is it! I would probably opt for "majolica-tiled bacino" or "bacino lined with majolica tiles" because its "maiolicato" rather than "maiolica", but "bacino" is the right term. If you wanted to translate it, then I think "roundel" would be acceptable.

Thanks, Sonia. Can one be sure that the bacino is "tiled"? Maybe it is just a majolica surface.
