French term

acrobate

French to English Marketing Marketing / Market Research Marketing material
Hello, everyone. I'm afraid there is no context, as the term appears in a list of different types of marketing material (together with brochures, banners, flyers, etc.). I would be mighty grateful if someone helped me translate this term into English.

Thanks in advance.

Thinking out loud Cardboard cut-out of an acrobat/gymnast/flexiperson?
Street marketing with live acrobats?
Mime artist/juggler?
Nikki Scott-Despaigne Feb 18, 2013:
@FlyHi Hello,

I would second Catharine's request. You need to post original language context. You have that and are having difficulty; it is even more difficult for us without context!
David Hayes Feb 18, 2013:
In that case, it could mean that the company is planning to hire a human acrobat as a marketing stunt. Might swindle a few people into coughing up their cash.
Catharine Cellier-Smart Feb 18, 2013:
could you post the list in French?
FlyHi (asker) Feb 18, 2013:
The only relationship I can see is that the document in question is a PDF, which can be opened with Adobe Acrobat...
David Hayes Feb 18, 2013:
Except there are quite a lot of references on google to digital marketing using Acrobat. Could this just be a shorthand way of referring to digital marketing?
FlyHi (asker) Feb 18, 2013:
Hi Catharine and Victoria. It could be, but I doubt it, because all the other items on the list refer to marketing supports (brochures, supermarket shelf banners, cardboard exhibitors, etc.). It makes no mention whatsoever of the programs used to create these supports, so if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say it doesn't refer to the software.
Victoria Britten Feb 18, 2013:
With Catharine That was my first thought too. Could it be simply talking about pdf software (or the product of it)?
Catharine Cellier-Smart Feb 18, 2013:
How is the list presented? Could this possibly refer to use of Adobe Acrobat software?

Acrobat

Could be a small typo. Complete guess, given complete lack of context. But this link is as good a guess as any:

Quite, hence my suggestion that it could be a typo.
neutral Nikki Scott-Despaigne : As in Adobe Acrobat.
