: If there are going to be puns, I think saving is far more appropriate than betting (despite nickname "Retter Messe"). Against background of Covid/cancellations and the fact no specific dates are given in the headline, perhaps "Saving the day" is better?

I do really like Ramey's "bet your life", too - I "bet" we're on the right track with "bet" (sorry, awful pun!)
I've been puzzling over this too - the best I can come up with that sounds natural in EN while keeping a hint of the DE is "it's a safe bet that...", but it's far from satisfactory!
