Cord blood donation
This appears in the title of a document entitled "Preparació extensió citològica" related to cord blood donations. As far as I understand, once the blood is fractionated the so-called "buffy coat" is subjected to testing by "extensió citològica" before being stored.
Does anybody know what this is exactly? "Cytological extension" doesn't seem to be a particularly common expression...
