Discussion

Pavel Blann Oct 30, 2006:
I assume this international insurance card contains a list of countries around the world. Normally, you have a "green card" insurance for the EU. But when you go outside the EU you have to get an additional insurance card and cross out the N/A countries.

yes, ozn. is "označení" in this context.

You're welcome, Laura. IHMO, "crossed out" refers to "EU countries designation". For example, it may be an insurance card for going to Asia or Africa.

Not at all, Laura. I'm glad it makes sense now.
Note from asker:
Thank you Pavel. This is exactly the translation I came out with... but, maybe I am too tired, I do not understand it! This insurance card no. ** was issued by Allianz Subalpina.... and expires on 31.12.2006. skrtnuto (crossed out) can only refer to "cislo", right? So this number was crossed out by EU countries?
Now it is clearer Pavel, thank you very much! I did not realize that "označení" is neuter as well... that's why I could not understand the sentence grammatically and therefore the meaning was so strange to me!
Something went wrong...
