A ball screw is a mechanical linear actuator that translates rotational motion to linear motion with little friction. A threaded shaft provides a helical raceway for ball bearings which act as a precision screw. (...) Co do "feeding":
1) googluje się "recirculating ball feed screw(s)": http://tinyurl.com/ofstwb9 - czyli można przyjąć, że "feeding" powstało z "feed".
2) Moim zdaniem "feed" to przekłamanie (z przekłamaniami w oryginalnym tekście mam do czynienia bardzo często, również na KudoZ: http://tinyurl.com/o5wqn8u :-) i powinno być "ball lead(ing) screws" lub "ball leadscrews" (występuje pisownia zarówno "lead screw", jak i "leadscrew").
3) "Lead screw" to śruba pociągowa.

Zresztą nawet jeśli "feeding" nie jest przekłamaniem, to i tak "śruba pociągowa z gwintem tocznym" pasuje do kontekstu [bo jest to śruba pociągowa (zob. Google) i ma gwint toczny] - można ewentualnie dać "śruba posuwowa z gwintem tocznym" ("śruba posuwowa" ma kilka wystąpień w podobnych kontekstach, w liczbie pojedynczej i mnogiej, w mianowniku i dopełniaczu).
