My sentence for translation:
Tolerance of evil is intolerance by default.
In other words, if I am tolerant of someone who is going around beating up old ladies, by my lack of action I am actually being intolerant of the rights of old ladies, who surely have a right not to be beaten up! In a sense, I might as well be beating them up myself if this is my attitude.
