A phrase from fairly old literature
Hi,
Apologies in advance for vaguess as the expression I am looking for is something vaguely remembered from when I started learning Turkish.
It’s an old-fashioned expression, something like “hâk ile yekûn”; nowadays I think you'd simply say “yerle bir”, if that can be used for someone in an extremely lowly position, which, I think, was the meaning of the phrase.
