Chairman of the Board of Directors of KONE Corporation, Pekka Herlin, granted ownership of shares in Security Trading Oy and
Holding Manutas Oy to his son, Antti Herlin, KONE Corporation’s Deputy Chairman and CEO, while retaining life-time control over the granted shares. In practice this transfer of shares, when added to Antti Herlin’s existing shareholding ensures the eventual transfer of a controlling interest in the above-mentioned companies, and through them to a controlling interest in KONE
Corporation, from Pekka Herlin to Antti Herlin.

Note from asker:
This was my first thought too, but the -yhtiö thing threw me. Maybe it's a situation of owning companies that also own shares, which when added to his own personal shares make up a controlling interest...no wonder these finance types got us into such a mess! |
