I'm translating the CV of a researcher in a clinical drug trial. This person received an M.D. degree (laureato in Medicina) and then comes this description:
" ... ha conseguito le specializzazioni in XXX e .. Medicina Preventiva con *indirizzo* di Sanita' Publica nel [year].
What does 'indirizzo' mean here /how would you say this in English?
Thank you for the help.

Hi Joseph!
Usually, at least in the USA, this kind of study program is called simply 'preventive medicine AND public health'. You'll find many google hits, such as http://ph.kumc.edu/.
I think you can simply omit the indirizzo part, which literally means course or program [of study].
Alternatively, if you really insist on including it in the translation, you could say
'preventive medicine with a focus on public health' YET I am not sure that it makes much sense. Same with 'specialization' because public health is a broader domain than preventive medicine. If you wanted to 'subordinate' one to the other, it would make sense to say it the other way, i.e. 'public health with a specialization/focus in/on preventive medicine'.
