Italian term

IS

Italian to English Law/Patents Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs
Dear all,

I am translating a certificate issued in Italy (situazione di famiglia).
It reads as follows:
===
la famiglia di [last name and first name]
qui residente in ...
e' cosi' composta:

***IS*** [last name and first name] nato il...
***FR*** [last name and first name] nato il...
===
Does anybody know what the IS (and FR) is supposed to mean?

Thank you very much in advance,
Igor Timko.

head of the family

It means capofamiglia according to this:

(open the first link in the search results - I can't seem to link it on its own)

FR is fratello
