Italian term

potenza nominale bruciata

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial
patent describing an atmospheric burner

Burnt power seems to be only on Italian sites, so I'm not at all convinced. Maybe nominal burn rate???
Proposed translations (English)
3 nominal heat input

Thanks Jo, that really sent me in the right direction. I found this link, where there's an actual equation that fits the explanation given in the patent:

so I'm going to go for "nominal input power"

nominal heat input

Hi Jenny
You’ll also find nominal thermal input or heating capacity on bilingual sites but not on English ones as far as I can see.

The max. heat input a fuel can give when burnt methinks, whereas the output will be less the dispersion in the system and what goes up the chimney, etc.
