Italian term

bassa giacitura

low lying

Just an idea, but this long phrase "low lying land subject to flooding" Googles exceptionally well in inverted commas.

agree philgoddard : With a hyphen when it's before the noun.

You start with a nimble language full of the freedom to pick and mix and put words together as you wish. Then you introduce hyphens and the end point is words so long you end up peppering the language with acronyms like Italian.
agree Wendy Streitparth : Exactly.
