Termenul crucco e o adaptare italiană din croată, sârbă şi slovenă pentru "kruh", ceea ce înseamnă "pâine".
Cuvântul vine din primul război mondial, când soldaţii italieni îl foloseau când vorbeau de prizonierii austrieci de naţionalitate croată. Prizonierii croaţi şi sloveni, înfometaţi, cereau cu insistenţă "kruh", adică pâine.
Apoi, cu timpul, chiar şi în forma "crucco", a fost folosit de soldaţii care luptau în Rusia şi apoi de partizani, pentru a-i denumi pe soldaţii germani. Ca adjectiv, "crucco" a fost folosit cu o canotaţie depreciativă pentru oricine era german.
În zilele noastre ,"crucco" e folosit de italieni pentru orice locuitor al ţărilor de limbă germană ca un semn de dispreţ.
Un echivalent al termenului "crucco" în engleză e kraut.
În italiană, crauti înseamnă varză murată.

În cele din urmă un coleg mi-a amintit că nemţii mai erau denumiţi şi FRIŢI.
Aşadar am folosit în film, ca traducere, "FRIŢI BLESTEMAŢI".
Tot depreciativ.
