My experience with literary translation dates back to as early as middle school, when I translated works of Hermann Hesse, Arthur Schopenhauer, Oscar Wilde for pleasure. It was not until just a couple of years ago that I decided to pursue this line of work on a professional level, and have been partnering with several different local publishers (in Tbilisi, Georgia) since. To me, literary translation is a magic linguistic phenomenon - creative co-creation of sorts.
