That's what I chose but to be precise, it would rather be 7-9. With a preference for the 9 option

I find it almost impossible to sleep more than 6 hours. I seem to have an "inner alarm clock" that wakes me after six hours, therefore I hardly ever get more sleep than that. I'm usually wide awake by 6 am and ready to start my working day. The advantage is that I do manage to get a lot of work done...

I usually sleep between 5.5 and 6 hours. But sometimes the time spend sleeping ranges anywhere between 0 - 7 hours, all depending on several factors, e. g. the work load, early appointments and not to forget health - a real bad cold can keep and has kept me sound asleep for some 9 hours.

Unfortunately I am a late owl and my husband is an early bird! He makes a LOT of noise getting up and dressed!!
Always at the same time? | Dec 5, 2010 |
This is an important consideration. I can just about function on 6 hours but they are of no use if they are not always at roughly the same time, ie about 1am to 7am. Would rather do 12 - 8 though!

But never less than 6 hours, as it is fruitless and potentially counterproductive!

Even though I tend to sleep a little bit more than some years ago. I have always been a night owl and it is often at night or early in the morning that I am the most productive.
I said 6-8... | Dec 6, 2010 |
But I have to confess that it's often less. I pulled two all-nighters in the last 30 days. The first one wasn't so bad because I slept about 5 hours right after delivering the job. The second one was terrible because I had appointments all the next day. That was last week, and I've been fighting off a cold ever since. I would dearly love to regularize my schedule, but I can't seem to be able to.
but sometimes it's a bit more...depending. I'm one of those people who needs at least 7 to feel normal! i don't know why....

I'm not surprised the majority sleeps between 6 and 8 hours. However, there's a huge difference between sleeping 6 (which is what I usually get, and feel tired on it) and 8 (which for me would be too long), so I don't think the results are very conclusive.
