But I don't dread it, I just disregard it. Or put it in a "special" folder in my inbox labeled with a special name and a special color.
Why asking this question? So your AI and algorithms can take this word out of the job descriptions? We are not dumb, we can understand all the weird constructions you keep coming up with to hide the MTPE intent, such as "a rockstar transcreator".

I don't dread words in a job description. Some words - often in the subject line - just act as reading stoppers and move-to-junk triggers.
Sometimes this applies also to the sender's name for various reasons.

Since most polls are proposed by ordinary members like you and me (who proposed at least a dozen polls meanwhile), there is no reason to be paranoid. Instead, let's be glad to see some polls that aren't about boring AI subjects.

"Please give your best rate" 🤪
"Linguists", "required" and "greetings of the day" also scare me off. | | | | Lingua 5B Bosnië en Herzegowina Local time: 08:43 uit Engels in Frans + ...
Also, "Kindly...(insert something here, usually send your CV or something)". Yes, "kindly" definitely scares me off.
Please is OK..Could you..is also OK. But Kindly makes me steer clear. | | | | Alex Lichanow Duitsland Local time: 08:43 uit Engels in Duits + ... | Low budget and MTPE | Oct 16, 2025 |
Both are red flags that I usually don't even dignify with a reply.
Another major red flag is "exciting opportunity", which seems to mean nothing but "soul-sucking editing and annotation" in the translation industry's own weird kind of Newspeak. | | | | Thomas Pfann Verenigde Koninkryk Local time: 07:43 uit Engels in Duits + ... | Easy/straight-forward/won't take long | Oct 16, 2025 |
Experience has taught me that anything described that way will be none of the above! | | |
