Here is the link to the Register:

It could come in useful for reference purposes - in fact between all of us we have probably translated many of these clinical trial protocols ourselves!

Thanks and problems with their PDFs Mar 23, 2011

Thank you Emma.
I paid a visit to this site and, by curiosity, I clicked on the "Glossary".

Today, this PDF does not open. Same problem with the "FAQs" PDF. I alerted the webmaster this evening.

Have a nice evening
Catherine

Update about the EU Clinical Trials Register's technical problems Mar 24, 2011

Hi,

As I told you yesterday evening, I alerted the EMA about the impossibility to download their PDF files.

They are very fast at the EMA : I found a reply early this morning.

It appears that their site is supported only by IE 6 to 8 !!

Here is a copy of their message, with my reply below :

Dear Catherine GUILLIAUMET,

My reply (of this morning)

Dear K.,
Thank you for your so fast answer.
I'll forward this indication to all the professional fora and mailing-lists I'm managing and/or subscribing.
Maybe your webmaster should be aware that a very significant number of professionals are using Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Moreover, IE 9 is born, while IE6 is no more supported by Microsoft (and most official sites).
I know, it's not easy to fulfil every users's expectations.
Thanks again.
Have a nice day
Best wishes

So, remember, you must use IE 6 to 8 if you want full access to this site !

This story moral : A good idea can be ruined by technical inefficiency ! Yes, it is possible, even in 2011, and in an international administration

IE8 Mar 24, 2011

Hi Catherine,
I use IE8, which explains why I didn't have any problems exploring this new resource.
Thanks for letting us know what the problem was, and I hope EMA solves this soon.
Regards,
Emma

Thanks for letting us know, Emma.

BTW I'm using Firefox and the CT searches are working fine - I haven't tried downloading anything though.

Thank you for sharing this info, Emma, it's very much appreciated.

As for browser compatibility issues, both Firefox and Safari work fine, including pdf downloads. Obviously, I'm using a Mac...

Thank you Emma! and thank you EMA! Mar 24, 2011

This is a very useful link!

EMA is really amazingly fast. I contacted them once by e-mail regarding some problems with the greek translation of a certain file. A very polite person CALLED me some hours later and we discussed the possible corrections!
Wow!
