Does anyone know if VAT applies in case I am living in England and invoice a company in Germany?

Thanks,

Aline.

No VAT Jan 14, 2003

If you invoice an foreign client there is no VAT, in any country.

Good luck!

There are instances where VAT applies (albeit not in the case of translations, as far as I recall - training services are an entirely different matter).

In any case, for intra-community (read \"EU\" for community...) services, you should obtain your client\'s EU VAT ID before issuing an invoice free of VAT.

To be 100% certain, check on HM C&E www.hmce.gov.uk; you can even submit a quest
