Add an AI to Microsoft Office? Not for me yet.

So, as you may already know, you can add a 20-ish USD/EUR subscription to Microsoft Office to have "Copilot" (AKA Chat GPT 4 Turbo) in your side panel in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and a few more perks in designer.

If you've seen some of my posts before (here or on my YouTube channel) you know I've played a bit with these tools. So, I decided to click the button and take the Copilot integration into MS Office out for a spin.

This has been a very bad experience for me. For my tasks as a freelancer and content creator, I just couldn't find it useful for my work. To tell the truth, I started screen recording and voice over what I was doing so that eventually that content would land on my YouTube channel. My experience with it was so bad that I removed it and claimed a refund the same morning. Here are the pain points that were dealbreakers for me:
_Refuses to work if your files are not Actively synced with OneDrive
_Refuses to work if your files are not saved in Microsoft formats (docx, xlsx etc.)
_Refuses to work in Excel if you have not formatted the tables in a specific way.
_If you go then to Copilot in Edge, you see the amount of context has increased to 16K but if you ask it to perform demanding tasks, it goes back to the 4K limit.

So, I found more value and time efficiency in sticking with Edge free Copilot and the basic 365 Subscription and getting the real Chat GPT from Open AI directly when I need it.

Hope my experience will be useful to some of you out there.
